In the demo, you noticed that the cutters were designed, where possible, to cut the liner and mat. There is an over-cut on the liner on the 16x20 size, cannot be helped, but not too noticeable.   As mentioned, the standard sizes are being designed for, and their openings are approximately as listed. These openings have been taken from several catalogues who may supply several per mat size, so I used averages:

5x7 = 3”x 4 7/8”                  8x10 = 4 5/8” x 6 5/8”
11x14 = 7 1/8” x 10 1/8”        16x20 = 11 3/8”x 15 3/8”

There are several manufacturers of hand-held cutting devices, and they are all very different. We are trying to design for at least one from each manufacturer as we get to them.  Some are larger than others, some may not provide the features we need, but we do plan to give you choices.

If you have questions, please send us an e-mail through this web site.

The plastics used in almost all the parts is a high density polyethylene, feels like solid nylon. It is fairly heavy and in normal use should last decades. Shipping however is not kind to us, but the only way to get it there.
